The Action Partnership and the Sidecar Era
A pivotal chapter began in 2020 when MGM joined forces with Bonovo Action, owned by Jürgen Röder. Driven by Röder's intense passion for sidecar racing, the partnership expanded the team's horizons. Over the years, the outfit collaborated with legendary figures, including eight-time World Champion Tim Reeves, Dutch ace Bennie Streuer, Finnish star Pekka Päivärinta, and multi-time German Champion Josef Sattler.
Michael Galinski
Motorradsport (MGM)
Michael Galinski Motorradsport (MGM) is a cornerstone of the IDM (International German Motorcycle Championship). The team's DNA is rooted in the success of its founder, Michael Galinski, who secured the German Superbike title in 1986 and a runner-up finish in 1989.
Since shifting his focus to team management in 2004, Galinski has transformed MGM into a technical powerhouse. Beyond just race wins, the team is now widely recognized for its technical expertise and professional development of riders, cementing its status as one of the most respected names in the European paddock.

Global Growth:
International Talent and
Historic Podiums
By 2022, the Bonovo Action BMW Racing Team had grown into a powerhouse, securing the services of Eugene Laverty and Loris Baz. While Laverty eventually transitioned into a leadership role within the team, Baz was joined in 2023 by the talented Texan Garrett Gerloff.
Gerloff delivered breakthrough performances for the German squad, claiming their first-ever pole position in 2023 and securing historic podium finishes in 2024 with third-place results at both Magny-Cours and MotorLand Aragon. During the 2024 season, he was partnered by Scott Redding, a veteran with a rich history in MotoGP and WorldSBK, who contributed two front-row starts and a strong fourth-place finish at Donington Park.

*29.10.1995 Stirling
Tarran Mackenzie, who previously competed in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and as a replacement in the Moto2 World Championship in 2017, won the 2021 British Superbike Championship, but struggled with injuries the following year.
He took his first victory in World Supersport in 2023 and, starting in 2024, raced in World Superbike with the Petronas MIE Racing Honda team, but parted ways amicably after six rounds of this ongoing season.
The Scottish-born Briton comes from a racing family. His father, Niall Mackenzie, is a former motorcycle road racer, and his brother, Taylor Mackenzie, also competed in road races until 2021.
Now the promising 30-year-old is returning to World Superbike with MGM Bonovo Racing.

2025:
A New Chapter with Ducati
The 2025 season marks a structural evolution: as Bonovo Action withdraws from ownership, Michael Galinski Motorradsport takes full control of the outfit. Despite the change, Jürgen Röder remains a vital partner and close friend of the team. In a bold strategic move, the squad has switched manufacturers to Ducati.

For 2025, they rely on the Ducati Panigale V4 R piloted by Redding, who previously achieved 12 victories aboard the Italian machine.

The Mackenzie Era
and the Road to 2026
The conclusion of the 2024 season saw a dynamic shift when Scotsman Tarran Mackenzie took the reins for the final five rounds. The synergy between Mackenzie and the MGM crew was instant; they capped off the season finale in Jerez with an impressive run of top-10 finishes (9th, 8th, and 7th).
Building on this momentum, MGM Racing Performance is set to continue its WorldSBK journey with Mackenzie as their lead rider for the 2026 championship.
